The King palm is a powerful tall strong palm. Ringed stem and a smooth distinctive crown shaft. Tolerates frost after some maturity but prefers moderately frost free, protected environments. Suitable for coastal planting. Differs from the Bangalo palm as the leaflets are broader and silvery on the underside. Good option for slender height in a palm tree.
